Getting to Plymouth

The city of Plymouth is situated in the West of England in the county of Devon.

Map of the UK showing Plymouth

The city has good road, rail and air links to the rest of the UK :

To Plymouth by road
The A38 Devon Expressway to Plymouth is a fast and direct link to the motorway network via Exeter (M5). London to Plymouth by road will take about three and a half hours. There are good coach services from most major cities to Plymouth. Follow road signs to the city centre until you are at the Charles Cross roundabout, this has a bombed out church in the middle (see map).  Take the third exit and turn immediately left up behind the Police Station.  At the end of the road turn left and left again into the multi-storey car park (have plenty of pound coins ready for the ticket machine).  Head uphill from the car park up Gibbon Street and turn left at the sign for the Robbins Conference Centre, the entrance will be signposted.

To Plymouth by rail
Intercity high-speed trains run from Paddington to Plymouth, via Exeter and Newton Abbot.  The taxi ride from the station to the conference centre takes about 5 minutes.

To Plymouth by air
Plymouth City Airport is within four miles of the Plymouth campus location. Direct services currently include London Gatwick, Newquay (Cornwall), Bristol, Jersey, Guernsey and Cork.
